La industria manufacturera dominicana creció 6.5% en febrero, superando el aumento experimentado en el mismo mes del año pasado, informó este miércoles el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM).
Las cifras sitúan a esta industria «en una total recuperación si se compara con la tasa de crecimiento interanual del Banco Central del mes de febrero 2020, cuando este sector apenas alcanzó el 5.0%, en un momento donde la economía dominicana se encontraba funcionando de forma regular», señaló el MICM en un comunicado emitido con motivo del Día de la Industria Nacional.
Algunos de los sectores de esta industria que aumentaron el año pasado en medio del contexto impuesto por la pandemia fueron la fabricación de productos farmacéuticos (18.3%), jabones y detergentes (15.1%) y elaboración de azúcar (11.1%).
Asimismo, plásticos (9.7%), lácteos (8.4%), conservación, producción y procesamiento de carnes (8.0%), mientras que el sector construcción cerró con unas recaudaciones fiscales en ese año que sobrepasan los 10,000 millones de pesos, de acuerdo con la información oficial.
