El evento, que se desarrollará de manera telemática desde el 17 hasta el 19 de mayo, está dividido en diferentes ponencias que buscan englobar distintas disciplinas con diferentes charlas especializadas, debates abiertos y talleres interactivos. El objetivo es fomentar la discusión y la creación de sinergias entre todos los actores involucrados.
Durante los últimos años, a través de la iniciativa NGI se ha estado trabajando para ofrecer tecnologías y servicios que respetan los derechos y valores europeos, lo que se traduce en beneficios tangibles para las organizaciones públicas y privadas, así como para los ciudadanos.
Durante la crisis ocasionada por la COVID-19 las tecnologías digitales y el acceso a Internet de forma segura han sido esenciales. No obstante, la pandemia también ha incrementado la brecha digital, así como las diferencias sociales y económicas.
Por todo ello, centrarse en las personas y poner la vista en este problema no es solo una opción más de Europa, sino un compromiso fundamental, dentro de la apuesta que ha realizado la Unión en su iniciativa de Década Digital.
