Desarrolla Promese/Cal jornada vacunación permanente en Samaná

Samaná, R.D. Julio 2021.- Fue iniciada en esta provincia una jornada permanente de vacunación cuyo propósito es alcanzar la inmunidad de rebaño requerida para reactivar plenamente la economía.

La iniciativa forma parte de la Jornada Nacional Permanente de Vacunación llevada a cabo por el Gobierno, con la asistencia de todas las instituciones públicas a las cuales les fueron asignadas las provincias y municipios del país.

El acto fue encabezado por el director del Programa de Medicamentos Esenciales y Central de Apoyo Logístico (Promese/Cal), Adolfo Pérez, la gobernadora provincial, Elsa De León, las autoridades municipales y juntas de vecinos, quienes aunaron esfuerzos en pos de mitigar el impacto de la pandemia.

Pérez informó que ha puesto a la disposición de los residentes de la provincia, la logística y el personal humano necesario a los fines de inocular a los habitantes de este polo turístico.

El funcionario exhortó a los samanenses a vacunarse contra la pandemia en los 59 centros habilitados para tales fines, para que puedan reincorporarse rápidamente a sus actividades normales.

“El propósito es completar la inoculación, recuperar la salud, volver a la normalidad y que la vida productiva pueda desarrollarse sin ningún tipo de cortapisas. La República Dominicana cuenta con el privilegio de tener una canasta de vacunas. Por eso nos podemos dar el lujo de hablar de dosis de refuerzo. El presidente Luis Abinader, la vicepresidenta Raquel Peña y todo el gabinete de salud, hicieron todo lo posible para suplir la necesidad de vacunas en la población”, sostuvo Pérez.

Aseguró que la presencia de Promese/Cal en Samaná es de ayuda y contribución. Por lo que instó a todas las fuerzas vivas de la provincia a dar el empujón que falta, para completar la meta de vacunación.

El director de Salud Pública en la provincia, Isidro Medina, informó que a la fecha Samaná ha inoculado a 44,653 personas lo que equivale al 63% de la meta de 70,000 vacunados entre la población mayor de 18 años.

“Del total de vacunados 29, 547 ya han recibido la segunda dosis”, dijo Medina.
