Santo Domingo, R.D. Junio 17, 2021.- La doctora Biviana Riveiro, Directora Ejecutiva del Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana), e Irlonca Trinidad Tavarez Morel, presidenta de la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Vega, acordaron impulsar acciones y proyectos que fomenten las exportaciones y la atracción de Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) desde la provincia.
“Este es el segundo de una serie de acuerdos que nos propusimos impulsar para garantizar la presencia de ProDominicana en distintas provincias del país. La meta principal es incrementar las exportaciones. Para lograrlo, buscamos tener mayor cercanía con los proveedores y pequeños productores. Con el objetivo de que las empresas nazcan con una visión exportadora” dijo Riveiro Disla.
La Directora de ProDominicana agregó que la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Vega es un aliado determinante para estimular la participación de los sectores productivos de la provincia. La iniciativa es un peldaño más hacia la consecución de los objetivos planteados en el Plan Nacional de Fomento de las Exportaciones y la atracción de inversiones. Riveiro indicó que “queremos que el desarrollo llegue a cada rincón del país generando empleos, bienestar, oportunidades e inclusión”.
De su lado, Irlonca Trinidad Tavarez, señaló que ambas entidades se comprometieron a identificar oportunidades de negocios con empresas dedicada a la exportación e inversión, captación de IED, sostener alianzas con sectores estratégicos de producción e impulsar programas de acciones, que promuevan la consolidación de empresas dedicadas a las exportaciones e inversiones con potencial exportador.
Sobre Provincia La Vega
La provincia de La Vega cuenta con más de 117 empresas exportadoras que se acogen tanto al régimen nacional con un 80% Zonas Francas 20%, y exportan sus productos a más 66 mercados internacionales. Estas empresas exhiben ventas internacionales en US$100 millones dólares como promedio anual.
Cabe destacar que la provincia exporta a través de 573 líneas arancelarias de productos, lo que muestra de la diversidad que tiene el territorio en su canasta exportadora, resaltando las exportaciones de Calzados, Ajíes y Pimientos, Bebidas no alcohólicas, Cacao, T-shirts y Camisetas, entre otros.
En cuanto a inversión extranjeras directas, tiene registros formales de empresas localizadas en sectores importantes como son; Manufactura Textil, Productos Agroindustriales, Calzados, Reciclaje, entre otros.
