La Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA) ha logrado despachar 2,690 contenedores a través de las terminales portuarias de Haina y DP World Caucedo, en Andrés, durante los últimos 30 días.
La información fue dada a conocer por su director, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, quien reveló que estos resultados se han logrado desde la puesta en funcionamiento del proyecto Despacho 24 Horas, el cual busca hacer más eficiente el proceso mediante el cual se desaduanizan las mercancías.
El funcionario informó que, como parte de las iniciativas llevadas a cabo a través del Despacho en 24 Horas, se ha implementado también el Operador Económico Autorizado Simplificado (OEAS), programa que busca certificar a miles de micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas con el fin de garantizar la entrega de sus mercancías.
“Durante los primeros 30 días de la implementación de este servicio, la DGA ha contactado a 1,523 importadores para certificarlos como OEA, y poder recibir sus productos y mercancías en tiempo reducido”, explicó Sanz Lovatón.
Apuntó que el objetivo principal de Aduanas con este proyecto es convertir a República Dominicana en el más importante centro logístico regional, y con ello garantizar el comercio internacional seguro y ágil.
Los ejecutivos de los puertos Ramon Badia de Caucedo y Cristyan Peralta de Haina revelaron que más de 730 empresas importadoras han logrado sacar sus mercancías de ambas terminales en un plazo no mayor de 24 horas. Resaltaron la importancia que tiene este servicio para mejorar la calidad de las importaciones del país.
Ahorros
A través de la iniciativa “Despacho en 24 Horas”, según informó Aduanas, se proyecta que para 2021 la cadena logística dominicana podrá ahorrar alrededor de RD$500 millones y para 2020 alrededor de RD$1,300 millones.
La puesta en marcha de este programa inició con un piloto de 40 empresas, que permitió que el 100% de estas compañías despacharan sus mercancías en menos de 24 horas, lo que evidencia las mejoras aplicadas en toda la cadena logística.
“Este ambicioso proyecto forma parte de la meta del gobierno central de fortalecer la competitividad de importaciones frente a los demás países de la región”, resaltó Sanz.
Facilidades crediticias
El director de Aduanas agregó que a raíz del anuncio del presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, de que la DGA disponga RD$2,000 millones en facilidades crediticias, para importadores de productos e insumos agropecuarios vinculados a la canasta básica, la institución creará un comité que se encargará de evaluar la metodología para definir cómo serán distribuidos los fondos, así como también quiénes califican para el crédito.
