Aerolíneas Argentinas anunció este viernes su decisión de suspender temporalmente las operaciones a Cancún (México), Punta Cana (República Dominicana), Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) y Río de Janeiro (Brasil) debido a la situación sanitaria por la pandemia de COVID-19.
La línea aérea estatal dijo en un comunicado que las modificaciones en su programación de vuelos regionales e internacionales obedece a las “restricciones vigentes producto de la pandemia global” y a la situación sanitaria en Argentina y en algunos de los destinos de la compañía.
Por ello, la aerolínea precisó que suspenderá todas sus operaciones a Punta Cana y Cancún entre el 16 de mayo y el 31 de agosto.Aquellos pasajeros que ya hayan iniciado su viaje a esos destinos podrán volver a Argentina en vuelos de Aerolíneas hasta el 15 de mayo.De igual forma, serán suspendidos los vuelos durante mayo y junio a Río de Janeiro y a Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Aerolíneas Argentinas aclaró que mantendrá la conectividad con Brasil desde Sao Paulo, operando mediante vuelos especiales para aquellos argentinos que deban retornar a Argentina.
Por su parte, los pasajeros hacia y desde Bolivia serán reubicados en otros vuelos.
