El comercio ilícito constituye uno de los factores que más afectan la competitividad en el mercado local pues constituye una de las formas de competencia desleal contra las empresas formalmente establecidas, que cumplen con sus obligaciones tributarias y que se apegan a las leyes y normas de calidad existentes.
Así lo indicó Circe Almánzar, vicepresidente ejecutiva de la Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana (AIRD) al valorar como positiva las políticas de persecución y lucha contra el comercio ilícito de productos regulados por parte del Cuerpo Especializado de Control de Combustible y Comercio de Mercancías (CECCOM), adscrito y coordinado por el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM), quien recientemente incautó un tanquero cargado de alcohol ilícito que sería comercializado en el mercado local en detrimento de las recaudaciones fiscales y la seguridad jurídica del sector.
“El Ranking de Factores que Afectan la competitividad revela que en los últimos cinco años la competencia desleal es un factor que siempre ha estado entre los tres principales que afectan la competitividad del sector industrial en República Dominicana”, explicó Almánzar.
Este Ranking es elaborado por la AIRD trimestralmente desde el segundo trimestre del año 2016.
Almánzar saludó el Decreto No.55-21 que faculta al CECCOM a enfrentar el ilícito de productos regulados, entre los que se incluyen los alcoholes y sus derivados. “Ampliar las facultades del CECCOM es un acierto. Ahora esperamos que esas facultades sirvan para reducir a la mínima expresión los ilícitos de productos regulados. Es una forma de contribuir al desarrollo de la industria formalmente establecida en el país”, afirmó.
