Santo Domingo, 22 de Febrero.- Para analizar las perspectivas y oportunidades que tiene el país ante el alza que se ha producido en los últimos meses en los costos de los fletes marítimos, el Comité de Facilitación de Comercio de la Cámara Americana de Comercio de la República Dominicana (AMCHAMDR) organizará el evento virtual “Fletes en tiempos de crisis: Navegando Tempestades”.
El panel, a celebrarse el próximo miércoles 24 de febrero a las 4:00 PM, estará compuesto por Cristyan Peralta, Director Comercial de Haina International Terminals (HIT); Teddy Heinsen, presidente de la Asociación de Navieros; Iván Mejía, vicepresidente de Logística del Grupo Ramos; y Óscar Ayala Bichara, Jefe de Transporte Marítimo para Centroamérica y El Caribe de DHL Global Fowarding.
Peralta hará un recuento histórico sobre el comportamiento de los fletes marítimos a nivel global y qué está pasando en la actualidad, mientras que Heinsen abordará el tema “Situación ocurrida respecto a los fletes marítimos en la pandemia y por qué se diferencia de las situaciones anteriores”.
Posteriormente, Óscar Ayala presentará su ponencia “Outlook sobre la situación actual y cómo se ve a futuro. Concentración en LATAM y cómo afecta a la República Dominicana” y finalmente Iván Mejía hablará del “Impacto en el cliente de cara al importador dominicano y qué ha hecho Grupo Ramos para lidiar con la situación”.
Previo a la participación de los panelistas en evento, creado bajo la modalidad de “AMCHAMDR Talks”, el vicepresidente ejecutivo, William Malamud, presentará unas palabras de apertura, mientras que Alexander Schad, presidente del Comité de Facilitación de Comercio, moderará el conversatorio.
