Ahora bien, en el caso de los operadores de salas de control en donde su trabajo se basa totalmente en la visualización de pantallas por más de ocho horas continuas, y cuyas fuentes de contenido y aplicaciones se combinan para contar con la mayor cantidad de información posible para reaccionar ante situaciones de riesgo; el desafío se centra en que estas fuentes a menudo provienen de múltiples estaciones de trabajo en diferentes redes que no se pueden interconectar y que la pantalla de cada estación de trabajo suele limitarse a un monitor específico.Por lo cual se necesitan de nuevas formas de interacción tecnológica que permita mayor simplicidad.
El desarrollo tecnológico ha llevado a la generación de soluciones como OpSpace, las cuales, están diseñadas para reunir la información de valor que considere el operador, además permiten reducir la movilidad en el espacio de trabajo, puesto que ya no es necesario que se traslade a otras salas a observar otros monitores. Este tipo de tecnologías tienen la ventaja de que con un solo clic pone a su alcance todas las pantallas que requiera consultar, además de que este enfoque dinámico genera mayor confianza en el operador ya que el proceso de monitoreo se realiza de manera fluida e ininterrumpida.
Entre los principales beneficios que representan estas soluciones para el operador son:
Salud y comodidad: Los expertos en salud recomiendan que las pantallas de monitoreo se encuentren a no más de 35 grados, pero con el uso excesivo de monitores para cada área o labor, resulta imposible para el operador no terminar su jornada con dolores de cuello y espalda que a la larga representan problemas de salud y para realizar sus labores.
Entorno de trabajo atractivo: Para los operadores de salas de control, el espacio de trabajo podría resultar agobiante por el uso de diferentes dispositivos en la visualización de datos, por ello la importancia de contar con una solución que les permita realizar sus labores desde un sólo dispositivo.
Mejor toma de decisiones: Cuando la información no se tiene al alcance para realizar análisis exactos de lo que se observa, no es posible tomar las mejores decisiones.
