SANTIAGO.- La Asociación Cibao de Ahorros y Préstamos donó 1,880 metros de terreno al Estado Dominicano para contribuir a materializar el proyecto del parque Eugenio de Jesús Marcano, en la carretera Jacagua-Gurabo de esta provincia.
La donación fue hecha al presidente Danilo Medina en el marco de las actividades conmemorativas con motivo del 171 aniversario de la Batalla del 30 de marzo.
“Es un alto honor, en nombre de la Junta de Directores de la Asociación Cibao de Ahorros y Préstamos, y todo el equipo de colaboradores y colaboradoras que integran nuestra isntitución, comparecer ante usted, como máxima representación del Estado Dominicano, para formalizar, en esta fecha de gran significación histórica para los dominicanos, una donación que enaltece a la Patria”, expresó José Santiago Reinoso, presidente de la entidad.
Servirá de motivación
Reinoso explicó que los terrenos incluyen una nave con un área de 1,000 metros cuadrados y que el inmueble, con un valor aproximado de 12 millones de pesos, servirá de motivación al Patronato del Parque Ecológico de esta ciudad y todas las instituciones aliadas, “para continuar, incansablemente, con las gestiones que permitirán el avance de esta importante iniciativa”.
Recordó que el proyecto del Parque Eugenio de Jesús Marcano busca preservar “un pulmón de esta ciudad de Santiago que viabilice la habilitabilidad y una mejor calidad de vida de sus ciudadanos”. También, que proporcionará otros beneficios científicos, didácticos y oportunidades para el ecoturismo.
