Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. El Centro Sectorial de Respuesta a Incidentes de Ciberseguridad para el Sistema Financiero y de Pagos (SPRICS) inició un programa especializado de capacitación en ciberseguridad, dirigido al personal de ciberseguridad y de tecnología de las entidades interconectadas a dicho centro sectorial.
El objetivo fundamental de este programa es fortalecer las capacidades de gestión de ciberseguridad de los participantes del sistema financiero y de pagos, con el fin de contribuir a mitigar los riesgos a los que se ven expuestos.
El programa, en modalidad virtual, está compuesto por un total de 18 módulos, e incluye charlas de expertos invitados. Además, podrá ser extendido con capacitaciones adicionales acorde a las necesidades de los participantes.
Entre los temas que se incluyen están Gobernanza para la seguridad de la información, Evaluación del riesgo tecnológico, Mejores prácticas en la gestión de incidentes, Gestión de accesos, Gestión de infraestructuras en Nubes, Privacidad y datos personales.
Estas capacitaciones son relevantes en el marco de la transformación digital que está viviendo el país, en la cual la ciberseguridad es uno de sus componentes más críticos, pues en la medida que todos los servicios migran del mundo físico al mundo digital, cobra mayor importancia la necesidad de garantizar que los sistemas operen en un ambiente donde los datos estén protegidos y el acceso a los mismos esté garantizado todo el tiempo.
El mundo digital se ha constituido en el nuevo campo de acción, en el cual delincuentes tecnológicos esperan obtener ganancias monetarias y persiguen también objetivos de índole política, o puramente criminal. Cada día, los ataques cibernéticos aumentan en cantidad y sofisticación.
Este programa de capacitaciones ha sido diseñado por el Banco Central, en coordinación con la Superintendencia de Bancos de la República Dominicana y con la colaboración del Proyecto para el Desarrollo de Ciberseguridad de la Unión Europea (Cyber4Dev). Igualmente, se cuenta con el apoyo del equipo de respuesta a incidentes de ciberseguridad de la Reserva Federal de los Estados Unidos, conocido como el CAST.
Con estas acciones, la Administración Monetaria y Financiera, actuando en coordinación con el Consejo Nacional de Ciberseguridad, apoya los lineamientos establecidos por las instancias nacionales en la materia, en su ámbito de acción del sistema financiero y de pagos, contribuyendo así a que las actividades financieras digitales se desenvuelvan en un ambiente seguro, confiable y de alta disponibilidad. Esto es la base para el correcto desenvolvimiento de las actividades de todos los actores económicos del país.
