Santo Domingo, R.D., Enero 28, 2021.– La doctora Biviana Riveiro Disla, Directora Ejecutiva del Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana), el embajador Gianluca Grippa, jefe de la Delegación Europea en el país, y Olaya Dotel, Viceministra de Cooperación Internacional y Ordenadora Nacional de los Fondos Europeos, iniciaron la distribución de cuarenta equipos tecnológicos a las Micro, Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (Mipymes) que se encuentran en proceso para exportar.
Esta iniciativa es el resultado de una encuesta donde se detectaron las necesidades de pequeñas y medianas empresas afectadas por la pandemia del Covid-19 en la República Dominicana, que arrojó como diagnóstico la situación que enfrentan las mismas que no tienen los mecanismos para digitalizar sus operaciones.
Biviana Riveiro manifestó que el objetivo es incluir a las Mipymes en la conectividad y digitalización que exigen estos nuevos tiempos para mantener las operaciones que permitan el crecimiento de las empresas.
“Hoy queremos proporcionar a cuarenta Mipymes una herramienta tecnológica que las impulse, les permita realizar sus contactos de negocios, llevar sus operaciones en un sistema y al mismo tiempo capacitarse en el uso de estas plataformas” sostuvo Riveiro.
En el acto de donación la viceministra de Cooperación Internacional y Ordenadora Nacional de los Fondos Europeos para el Desarrollo, Olaya Dotel destacó la importancia del acto, al tiempo de manifestar su apoyo a la transformación Digital, enfatizando que la digitalización en las empresas es una necesidad, que puede conseguir que los negocios superen las consecuencias de una crisis sanitaria para la que nadie estaba preparado como es la pandemia del coronavirus (COVID-19).
De su lado, Gianlucca Grippa, dijo que para la República Dominicana, las Mipymes representan un soporte fundamental para el tejido empresarial y la economía nacional.
“Celebramos el interés de continuar adaptándose a los tiempos actuales y les invitamos a darle continuidad a sus esfuerzos, con la certeza de que estos tiempos serán tiempos de crecimiento y de implementación de innovadoras prácticas de comercio que le permitirán continuar facilitando su inserción y/o expansión en los mercados internacionales” sostuvo Grippa.
La Unión Europea, DIGECOM y ProDominicana unen esfuerzos para combatir el impacto negativo generado por la pandemia en el comercio y la economía dominicana, contribuyendo de esta forma al desarrollo económico de las MiPymes y al cierre de la brecha digital en el engranaje productivo nacional.
Acerca del plan
La primera fase inició en marzo 2019 con el proceso de fumigación-desinfección de cien Mipymes y la entrega de los kits para protección del Covid-19, contribuyendo así al retorno de forma segura a sus procesos productivos.
En la segunda y última fase se entregaron equipos tecnológicos a cuarenta Mipymes ubicadas en diferentes partes del país tales como: Río San Juan, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Santiago Rodríguez, Hato Mayor, Dajabón, Monseñor Nouel, Azua, Nagua, San Cristóbal, Samaná y Distrito Nacional.
Con la entrega de estas computadoras se persigue que las Mipymes se inserten en la economía digital, además el plan incluye en esta fase un acompañamiento por 6 meses a fin de que puedan dinamizar sus procesos internos.
