La Bolsa Turística del Caribe arribó a sus 25 años, iniciativa que surgió con el objetivo de contribuir a través del tiempo a la difusión, fomento y promoción de la oferta turística de República Dominicana en los mercados no tradicionales y emergentes.
“La BTC ha sido la proyección, promoción y puesta en conocimiento de Santo Domingo, Ciudad Primada de América, logrando combinar la oferta ciudad con la playa y la montaña como programas multidetinos”, expresó Luis Felipe Aquino, presidente de la Bolsa Turística del Caribe.
El evento se llevó cabo en el Centro de Convenciones del Dominican Fiesta hotel & Casino. Al que asistieron autoridades del sector turístico, hotelero y empresarial del país.
El padre Julio Cesar Cornielle, Obispo Diócesis de Puerto Plata y presidente Comisión Turismo Episcopado Dominicano, estuvo a cargo de la invocación al señor.
Explicó que República Dominicana es un calidoscopio de colores y sabores, sus playas paradisiacas, su cultura, paisajes, su gente, son parte de su entrañable riqueza, con vocación turística, la que lo coloca en buen nivel competitivo en el mercado mundial de viajes, ya que cuenta con reservas de potencialidades, regiones aun no desarrolladas, regiones que pueden atraer al turista por la bellezas de sus playa, por la hospitalidad de su gente, su cultura, gastronomía y su encantadora ciudad historia colonial, primera ciudad del nuevo mundo.
