Carlos Iglesias, presidente de la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de Santiago, dijo que ‘fue discurso amplio, esperanzador, realista y detallado. El cual ofreció un panorama de las ejecutorias del gobierno, concentrándose en los últimos seis meses que corresponden a las actuales autoridades’.
Resaltó el enfoque dado a los cambios fundamentales en el manejo del Estado, como la transparencia, la honestidad en el uso de los recursos públicos, las reformas estructurales necesarias, así como las propuestas para relanzar la economía dominicana y robustecer la producción nacional y el comercio.
La entidad resalta las circunstancias, nunca antes vividas, en que nuestro país ha tenido que vivir durante el último año, a causa de la pandemia COVID-19, lo cual ha implicado retos extraordinarios en el orden de la salud, la educación, y las finanzas públicas.
EL discurso enumeró además una gran cantidad de proyectos entre los que se resaltan aquellos que impactan en la región de Santiago como las vías de comunicación hacia la costa norte, a Puerto Plata y al puerto de Manzanillo, la circunvalación de Navarrete, las iniciativas para realzar el Centro Histórica de Santiago, el apoyo al sector de zonas francas, proyectos de viviendas sociales y la creación de un ecosistema de creatividad e innovación tecnológica, entre otras.
La organización empresarial del Cibao espera que las alianzas público privadas que se gestan, junto al buen manejo de los recursos, contribuyan de manera decisiva a la ejecución del amplio programa propuesto por el mandatario ante la Asamblea Nacional.
La nota de la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de Santiago concluye resaltando el apoyo a los sectores productivos, en especial las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas, mediante programas de apoyo financiero y de gestión de mercado. De igual manera, el impulso dado a los sectores agropecuarios, lo cual impacta de manera directa en la recuperación de empleos.
