Higüey. – Como tributo a la Virgen de La Altagracia, madre protectora de la República Dominicana, el Obispado de Higüey, con el apoyo del Banco Popular Dominicano, celebrará desde la medianoche del próximo 21 de enero el evento “Por amor a la Virgen”, una vigilia digital desde la Basílica Catedral, con oraciones, canciones, testimonios y mensajes de fe.
Esta ceremonia especial será transmitida en vivo durante ocho horas desde el altar de la Basílica, a través de Color Visión, como canal matriz, unido a una cadena de canales de televisión, bajo la producción de Edilenia Tactuk. Además la señal podrá seguirse también desde los canales de Youtube de la Basílica (@basilicadehiguey) y del Banco Popular (@Popularenlinea).
Bajo el subtítulo “Una noche, un sacrificio y un nuevo amanecer”, esta transmisión en directo busca unir a los dominicanos a través de la oración, durante una noche sin precedentes, permitiendo a todos los creyentes orar, cantar y recibir a la Virgen de la Altagracia en sus casas. Todos unidos, pidiendo un nuevo amanecer para la República Dominicana y el mundo.
La actividad iniciará 12:00 de la medianoche con una misa de apertura a cargo de monseñor emérito de La Vega Antonio Camilo, y a continuación comenzará la vigilia, a cargo del padre Evaristo Areché, rector de la Basílica de Higüey.
En distintos momentos de la madrugada, un grupo de obispos de diferentes provincias del pais, se dirigirán a la audiencia congregada con mensajes de esperanza y reflexiones sobre la familia, la fe, la solidaridad, las dificultades de la pandemia, la espiritualidad, la Incertidumbre, y la esperanza.
Los espectadores podrán seguir, además, el rezo del cenáculo en honor a la Virgen de La Altagracia, con el fray José María y exposición del Santísimo.
Con el inicio del amanecer, la soprano dominicana Nathalie Peña-Comas cantará una versión en español del Ave María y, a seguidas, el maestro Rafael Solano y el artista Niní Cáffaro interpretarán el conocido tema “Por Amor”, frente al altar de la Virgen.
Durante la noche, se contará también con las actuaciones especiales de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, así como los artistas católicos Celinés Díaz, Eduard Muñoz, Ester Hernández, Kairy Márquez, Mikey Mendoza, Alfareros, Jon Carlos, Claudia Gil, Manny Rosado entre otros.
La vigilia concluirá en torno a las 8:00 de la mañana, con la misa oficial del Día de La Altagracia, a cargo de monseñor Jesús Castro, obispo de la Diócesis de Higüey.
Esta iniciativa de promoción de la fe a la devoción mariana de La Altagracia se vincula al tradicional Gran Concierto Altagraciano que organizan cada año el Obispado de Higüey y el Banco Popular, y que en esta ocasión no puede llevarse a cabo por la situación sanitaria que atraviesa el país.
