El Centro Cultural Banreservas inaugurará el jueves 11 de este mes la exposición “Por los caminos del carnaval en tiempo de pandemia”, que estará compuesta de fotografías, caretas, trajes y audiovisuales típicos de esta manifestación cultural.
El Banco de Reservas informó que se pretende acoger la celebración carnavalesca en el contexto de la pandemia, con el deseo de traer un poco de la magia, la emoción, los colores y la experiencia de una de las más robustas expresiones culturales de nuestro país.
La exposición estará abierta al público hasta el 21 de marzo, de lunes a viernes de 9:00 de la mañana a 4:00 de la tarde; los sábados a de 10:00 de la mañana a 2:00 de la tarde; y los domingos de 10:00 am a 4:00 de la tarde.
El gerente de Cultura de Banreservas, Mijaíl Peralta, dijo que “Por los caminos del carnaval en tiempo de pandemia” es una muestra multidisciplinaria que reconoce el valor de la más importante manifestación cultural popular del país.
Adelantó que la exposición es asesorada por el sociólogo banilejo Dagoberto Tejeda Ortiz, considerado como uno de los principales estudiosos del carnaval y quien tiene a su cargo dos conferencias virtuales.
La muestra fotográfica y de objetos ha sido curada por Dagoberto Tejeda e incluye una selecta presentación de obras de los fotógrafos mientras que en el aspecto fotográfico ha sido coordinado por el artista del lente Mariano Hernández.
Peralta sostuvo que la muestra cuenta con las fotografías de Guadalupe Rodríguez, Juan de los Santos, María Francis Attias, Odalis Rosado, Mariano Hernández y Tony Fondeur.
La coordinación fotográfica está a cargo del maestro puertoplateño Mariano Hernández y rinde homenaje póstumo al fotógrafo de Santiago Alfonso Khouri.
La exposición, además de presentar trajes y caretas de esta expresión, incluirá una presentación en vivo de la confección de las caretas del carnaval de Santiago por parte de artesanos que cuentan con apoyo financiero y asesoramiento de la Fundación Reservas.
