Madrid. España. La recepción de los 80 años del Banco de Reservas exaltó el talento de cinco mujeres dominicanas destacadas en gastronomía, diseño de modas y música, para evidenciar en Fitur 2021 la importancia de la cultura y las artes como factor fundamental en la oferta turística nacional.
Tras los discursos de orden, entre los cuales estuvo el del administrador general de Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, se dio paso al arte de esas cinco mujeres para presentar una inolvidable jornada artística y cultural.
La actividad se desarrolló en el gran salón del hotel VP Plaza, de la capital española, con la asistencia de empresarios hoteleros que tienen inversiones en República Dominicana, entre otras personalidades vinculas al turismo.
En el encuentro se estrenó un documental en homenaje póstumo a la diseñadora dominicana Jenny Polanco. El emotivo audiovisual fue muy aplaudido por los asistentes, quienes recibieron un obsequio elaborado con elementos naturales dominicanos que representan el trabajo de Polanco.
La música y el canto estuvo a cargo de las hermanas Peña Comas: Nathalie, soprano; Evelyn, flautista; y Nicole, violoncelista. Las artistas interpretaron desde “Por Amor”, del maestro Rafael Solano, hasta “La Bilirrubina”, del cantautor Juan Luis Guerra. En total hicieron nueve interpretaciones, coronadas al final por un cerrado aplauso del público.
María Marte, la chef dominicana, que cuenta con dos estrellas Michelín, provocó las mejores sensaciones con una cena inspirada en la gastronomía dominicana y la cocina mediterránea.
La celebración de los 80 años de Banreservas en Fitur, además de anunciar el proyecto turístico de Cabo Rojo, Pedernales, estuvo basada en la cultura y el arte, dos expresiones fundamentales para presentar a los turistas la esencia del dominicano.
