El Centro Cultural Banreservas y el Museo Bellapart presentarán, con el apoyo de Seguros Reservas, una exposición en homenaje al centenario de uno de los grandes maestros de la plástica dominicana: Paul Giudicelli.
La muestra titulada “Paul Giudicelli 100 años. Obras del Museo Bellapart”, abrirá al público el 27 de mayo y estará compuesta por una cuidada selección de obras realizadas por el artista dominicano, fallecido en 1965.
Esta exhibición, con dibujos, pinturas y cerámicas, es la primera colaboración entre ambos espacios culturales que coinciden en la vocación de poner en relieve lo mejor del arte dominicano.
El público podrá observar piezas que representan la gran variedad de medios que el artista, nacido en San Pedro de Macorís, utilizó. También recorre su obra desde sus inicios postimpresionistas hasta sus representaciones abstracto-geométricas, acentuando su vocación de experimentación y búsquedas, marcadas por la brillantez de sus realizaciones.
La producción artística de Paul Giudicelli Palmieri hace referencia a nuestra herencia taína y africana. Es pionero en experimentaciones técnicas en el arte dominicano y precursor de los murales cerámicos con trabajos realizados en varias ciudades.
La presentación se inaugurará el 26 de mayo y al día siguiente estará disponible para el público, hasta el 11 de julio de 2021, en horario de 8:00 de la mañana hasta las 7:00 de la noche, de lunes a viernes, y sábado y domingo de 10:00 de la mañana a 5:00 de la tarde.
Durante el tiempo que permanezca la exhibición, el Centro Cultural Banreservas desarrollará un intenso programa de encuentros, conferencias, actividades para niños y visitas guiadas para ampliar el debate sobre la trascendencia de este gran artista, a quien la crítica de arte Jeannette Miller ha denominado Padre de la Modernidad en República Dominicana.
Las medidas sanitarias, de distanciamiento y uso obligatorio de mascarillas serán aplicados durante la exhibición.
