SANTIAGO, R.D.- La Asociación de Promotores y Constructores de Viviendas del Cibao (APROCOVICI), y la Regional Norte del Colegio de Ingenieros, Arquitectos y Agrimensores (CODIA), denunciaron un incremento de un 20% en los materiales de construcción, lo que implica un aumento de un 15% en el costo de las viviendas.
Landy Colón, presidente de APROCOVICI, dijo que el alza que han experimentado esos artículos en estos últimos días, no se justifica, porque la prima del dólar se ha mantenido estable, por lo que exhortó a las autoridades a intervenir, para frenar la situación.
“Nosotros hacemos un llamado al Gobierno, para que a fin de que podamos tener instituciones que velen por la estabilidad de precios, porque eso afecta los proyectos habitacionales, que desarrollamos los ingenieros”, expresó.
Así mismo manifestó que el alza experimentada, trastorna los presupuestos de las familias que inician la construcción de sus viviendas, porque genera variaciones en los mismos.
El dirigente, quien estuvo acompañado del presidente de la regional Norte del CODIA, ingeniero Hipólito Gómez, puso de manifiesto que de ese sector depende una gran cantidad de dominicanos de manera directa e indirecta, lo que se refleja en la economía del país.
Como parte de la denuncia durante la conferencia de prensa éstos presentaron una lista, de los artículos, con la variación de precios, que han sufrido en los últimos meses.
