Santo Domingo, Rep. Dom. Abril 30, 2021.- Los resultados de la economía durante el primer trimestre de 2021 muestran una senda firme de recuperación que garantizaría los pronósticos de crecimiento para este año, valoró la Asociación de Bancos Múltiples de la República Dominicana (ABA).
La ABA se pronunció sobre el informe de la economía presentado por el Banco Central, que da cuenta de una expansión de 10.6% en marzo de 2021, y sostuvo que “es altamente significativo el hecho de que el sector Construcción haya liderado esos resultados positivos, con 56.8 % de crecimiento, por su efecto multiplicador en la generación de empleos de riqueza y el empuje a las demás cadenas productivas”.
“Saludamos estas buenas noticias que superaron las expectativas positivamente, pues el hecho de que la construcción sea el pivote de estos resultados, junto otros importantes sectores, nos garantiza que la economía está afianzada en la senda hacia la recuperación económica”, puntualizó la entidad que representa la banca múltiple.
En un documento de prensa, el gremio destacó además que el desempeño positivo registrado en sectores como el de Zonas Francas, Minería, Transporte y almacenamiento, Manufactura Local, Comercio y otros, impulsan la demanda agregada.
Por consiguiente, la ABA sostuvo que bajo estas condiciones se favorece que fluya la canalización del crédito, en condiciones en que la banca está con altos niveles de liquidez, luego de los estímulos implementados por las autoridades monetarias.
“Para la banca, esta coyuntura es una gran oportunidad para el aumento saludable del crédito, ya que en la medida en que se reactivan las actividades económicas, apoyadas por un crecimiento de la demanda, se genera un círculo virtuoso para la economía en general”, afirmó.
