Santo Domingo, R.D. Junio 2021.- La mayoría de los productos de la canasta básica familiar se mantuvo sin variaciones de precios en la semana del 18 al 24 de este mes, según el informe semanal que elabora el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mypymes (MICM), en coordinación con el Instituto de Protección de los Derechos del Consumidor (ProConsumidor).
A pesar del alza de los precios a nivel mundial, el Gobierno dominicano continúa trabajando para garantizar que las familias dominicanas puedan acceder a los productos de la canasta básica. Para ello, han aumentado la producción agrícola y estabilizado el precio de varios artículos de la canasta básica.
Los datos levantados en el informe indican que productos como el arroz, la carne de res, las habichuelas rojas, el ajo, la cebolla roja, el azúcar, los plátanos y el guineo verde, se mantuvieron sin variación durante la referida semana, hasta este lunes 28 de junio.
En ese mismo orden, la papa blanca, pan de agua, arenque, bacalao y las habichuelas pintas, mantienen el mismo precio desde mediados de junio hasta iniciar esta semana sin alteración.
A través de un comunicado de prensa, el MICM enumeró los productos que presentaron reducción en sus precios como el huevo, harina de maíz, ají cubanela, yautía blanca, batata y el ñame.
Los productos que sufrieron alzas, aunque ligeras, son el aceite, carne de cerdo, pollo fresco, salami y la yuca, los cuales se prevé reducirán en las próximas semanas debido a las medidas ejecutadas por el gobierno central.
Según el detallado informe, el precio fijado para el plátano verde se mantiene en RD$15, disminuyendo un promedio de RD$8 por unidad desde la ultima semana de diciembre 2020. La libra de papa sigue estable en RD$30.
De igual manera el arroz se conserva sin variaciones con respecto a la semana previa, ubicándose en el mercado alrededor de RD$32. El precio de la funda de pan de agua con diez unidades se ha fijado en un promedio de RD$50 pesos desde enero de este año.
Para mitigar el alza de los precios de los productos debido al aumento de las materias primas a nivel internacional, el Gobierno dominicano encabezado por el presidente Luis Abinader instaló seis mesas de trabajo, integradas por los sectores Empresarial, Comercio y Mipymes, y Construcción.
También por representantes de Grandes Superficies, Industrial, y Social y Laboral, con el objetivo de hacer propuestas para sumarse a las iniciativas del gobierno y enfrentar la crisis mundial de precios que impacta al país, producto de la pandemia.
