Santo Domingo, R.D. Febrero 25, 2021.- La Compañía Coca-Cola donó este jueves a la vicepresidencia de la República, 100 iPads, donación que será utilizada en apoyo al Plan Nacional de Vacunación (VACUNATE RD) como parte de los esfuerzos del Gobierno para reducir la propagación del COVID-19 en el país en alianza con los sectores productivos.
Así lo anunció la Compañía, tras un acto realizado en el Salón Los Trinitarios del Palacio Nacional, en cumplimiento a los protocolos de salud y seguridad, que fue encabezado por la vicepresidenta, Raquel Peña y el ministro de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes, Victor “Ito” Bisonó, quien gestionó el aporte.
En este encuentro fueron entregados los equipos, cuya inversión asciende a los 12 millones de pesos, que les permitirán a las autoridades sanitarias coordinadas por el Gabinete de Salud, llevar un control en tiempo real de las vacunas aplicadas a la población dominicana.
Ana Virginia García, gerente de Sostenibilidad y Comunicaciones explicó que, como parte del compromiso de marcar la diferencia y apoyar las comunidades donde tienen operaciones, la Compañía Coca-Cola se ha enfocado en apoyar a los gobiernos locales para enfrentar el gran desafío de la vacunación contra el COVID-19.
“Durante el primer año de la pandemia donamos raciones de comida y bebidas para el personal de salud y la población más afectada. Ahora con estas 100 iPads PRO, acompañadas de sus accesorios, estamos seguros de que aportaremos el apoyo tecnológico requerido durante este proceso y facilitaremos el registro de datos al personal de primera línea”, expresó.
De su lado, el Gobierno dominicano exhortó a la población a mantenerse atenta a los canales oficiales sobre el desarrollo del Plan de Vacunación, para integrarse oportunamente.
