Entregan Presidente Abinader y Director Bonilla bloques materno infantil y consulta externa Ciudad Sanitaria Luis E. Aybar

Santo Domingo, RD. Mayo 17, 2021.- El Presidente de la República, Luis Abinader y el Director General del Instituto Nacional de la Vivienda (INVI), Carlos Bonilla, entregaron este lunes, para su puesta en funcionamiento, los bloques B1 y B2, así como los Centros de Seguridad y Monitoreo y de Patología Forense, de la Ciudad Sanitaria, Luis Eduardo Aybar.

Ambos bloques -en sus siete pisos- albergan los edificios de atención Materno Infantil, Consulta Externa y de Administración.

El hospital, destinado a personas de escasos recursos, se encuentra ubicado en el sector Maria Auxiliadora del Distrito Nacional, el mismo dispone de 114 camas en el edificio B1 para hospitalización, otras 57 para la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal y 16 para Cuidados Intensivos.

En esta misma ala del centro también se ubican el área de Imágenes y de pruebas cardiológicas, además de estaciones de diálisis, así como el laboratorio más grande y completo del país. Además, un Bloque Quirúrgico con cuatro quirófanos obstétricos, tres Salas de Parto y cinco camillas Pre/Post Parto.

El hospital, que funcionará en modalidad de centro docente, está diseñado para albergar médicos residentes, con 80 camas, áreas de descanso, tres aulas, auditorio, salón multiuso, biblioteca, cafetería, oficinas y quirófanos con aparatos para la interacción virtual o telemedicina.

En el edificio B2 para consultas externas, estarán las especialidades de Rehabilitación, Laboratorios y Banco de Sangre adense de zona de Imágenes, consultorios pediátricos y ginecológicos, de medicina general y odontología, además las áreas administrativas.
