No obstante, es frecuente encontrar en los medios de comunicación frases en las que se utiliza con un espacio entre prefijo y verbo base, como en estos ejemplos: «Los datos suministrados dejan entre ver que desde hace más de dos meses la Procuraduría General de la República investiga sus contratos con el Estado», «Fueron embargados por una intensa emoción que dejó entre ver el respeto, admiración y cariño que ambos artistas se profesan», «Ahora hay decir que se aspira al cargo o dejarlo entre ver» o «La intensa actividad aérea entre Estados Unidos y nuestro país deja entre ver que no quedamos tan afectados».
Aunque la composición del verbo entrever muestra la unión de la preposición pre- y el verbo ver, su escritura es en una sola palabra, atendiendo a la regla de la Ortografía de la lengua española que establece que los prefijos se escriben unidos a la base léxica.
Teniendo esto en cuenta, en los ejemplos anteriores lo adecuado habría sido escribir «Los datos suministrados dejan entrever que desde hace más de dos meses la Procuraduría General de la República investiga sus contratos con el Estado», «Fueron embargados por una intensa emoción que dejó entrever el respeto, admiración y cariño que ambos artistas se profesan», «Ahora hay decir que se aspira al cargo o dejarlo entrever» o «La intensa actividad aérea entre Estados Unidos y nuestro país deja entrever que no quedamos tan afectados».
