El Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCYT) y la Cámara Oficial de Comercio de España en República Dominicana (CAMACOES) firmaron un acuerdo interinstitucional con el objetivo de coordinar la colocación de los egresados de becas nacionales e internacionales de los distintos programas en áreas de interés de 400 empresas que forman parte de la organización.
El acuerdo firmado por el Ministro del MESCYT, doctor Franklin García Fermín, y el presidente de CAMACOES, Ángel Baliño González, también contempla coordinar la realización de programas de pasantías y la participación de becarios y egresados del MESCYT en dicho plan.
Establece que el acuerdo tendrá como alcance toda la población estudiantil becaria o egresada de los programas de becas nacionales e internacionales del MESCYT.
Agrega que el MESCYT se compromete a facilitar perfiles de egresados de acuerdo con las solicitudes realizadas por CAMACOES o sus empresas miembros registradas.
Asimismo, remitir a los egresados información sobre puestos vacantes de las empresas miembros de CAMACOES.
De igual modo, incluir la participación de CAMACOES en la feria de empleos virtuales realizadas por el MESCYT.
Además, promover y apoyar el programa de pasantías organizadas por CAMACOES para becarios nacionales de término y recién egresados de programas académicos en el extranjero.
Tomar en consideración en la oferta académica de los programas de becas nacionales e internacionales, la necesidad de capacitación de recursos en áreas indicadas por CAMACOES y sus miembros.
También coordinar con becarios el desarrollo de investigaciones o trabajos finales de máster de acuerdo con temas de interés de CAMACOES y sus miembros, la cual establecerá la presentación de proyectos de tesis o TFM de egresados.
De su lado, CAMACOES asume el compromiso de informar al MESCYT sobre la colocación de egresados y la factibilidad de las informaciones ofrecidas.
Del mismo modo, coordinar un programa de pasantías con CAMACOES y sus miembros dirigidos a becarios nacionales de término o recién egresados internacionales del MESCYT.
La entidad acuerda remitir al MESCYT puestos vacantes en las empresas miembros de CAMACOES para que los mismos sean difundidos entre los becarios y egresados; las necesidades de capacitación en áreas indicadas; temas de interés para el desarrollo de investigaciones y trabajos finales por becarios; y la presentación de proyectos de egresados, entre otros.
García Fermín destacó la importancia del convenio y la trascendencia que tendrá para la inserción de becarios, tras manifestar que el MESCYT está renovando acuerdos con 33 universidades españolas, entre ellas la Complutense de Madrid, la de Nebrija, Camilo José Cela, Miguel Hernández, Navarra y la Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI), entre otras.
Consideró que el convenio con CAMACOES abre una ventana para presentar a empresas personal adiestrados de alto nivel egresados de universidades.
“Nosotros tenemos acuerdos con universidades de todo el mundo, desde Estados Unidos, Cuba, Rusia, Alemania, Reino Unido, vamos a firmar próximamente un acuerdo con la Universidad de Oxford, y con las universidades hispanas, en América Latina y con varias universidades italianas”, precisó.
De su lado, Baliño González expuso que el objetivo es propiciar un espacio visible y cercano para la oferta de las universidades e instituciones de estudios superiores españolas en el país reconocidas por su altísimo nivel educativo.
“Agradecemos pues la oportunidad que nos brinda el MESCYT y por ello nos sentimos plenos de orgullo, para que nuestro 97 años de existencia y nuestros 400 socios podamos contribuir al desarrollo del país desde ese eje tan trascendental que es la educación superior, como paso previo de la obtención de un empleo digno; principalmente en el aporte de nuestras empresas socias”, agregó.
Al resaltar la importancia del convenio, afirmó que dentro del plan estratégico definido por la organización empresarial, hace dos años y medio, la educación, en particular la superior, tiene una importancia primordial.
“Los 97 años de historia de la Cámara que cumpliremos en noviembre próximo dan una idea del alcance del acompañamiento que puede proveer a sus socios en los diferentes ámbitos tanto de España como de la República Dominicana”, agregó.
En el acto de firma del acuerdo estuvieron presentes el asesor especial del MESCYT, Julio Altagracia; la consejera económica y comercial de la Embajada de España en el país, Clara Fernández, el vicepresidente de CAMACOES, Francisco de la Cruz; y la secretaria general Martha Ors Arranz.
