SANTO DOMINGO. – Con el objetivo de fortalecer la producción y exportación agropecuaria del país, el ministro de Industria Comercio y Mipymes (MICM), Víctor- Ito- Bisonó, firmó el acuerdo Trade Safe (TraSa) con la Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA), la Cámara Americana de Comercio de la República Dominicana (AMACHAMDR), y cinco entidades que componen el Comité Nacional de Facilitación de Comercio (CNFC).

Bisonó valoró la iniciativa conjunta de alimentos para el progreso a través de esta tercera etapa conocida como TraSa, al tiempo que resaltó la firma de esta carta de colaboración de las autoridades del Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos y del gobierno dominicano. “Sin lugar a duda este proyecto servirá de base para contribuir a la sofisticación y competitividad de nuestra oferta local”.
“El verdadero progreso de una nación descansa en la capacidad de lograr que la producción de bienes y servicios se transformen en bienestar y oportunidades para nuestra gente, por eso el objetivo del gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader es, fundamentalmente, propiciar desde el Estado un acto institucional transparente y eficiente que incentive la innovación tecnológica, a regulación organizacional y que promueva el crecimiento de los sectores económicos generadores de empleos formales, divisas e internacionalización de la producción nacional”, enfatizó.
Aseguró que el MICM ejecuta un programa que ayudará a la puesta a una nueva visión de hacer política en materia de comercio, que va dirigida a fortalecer los sectores portadores a través de un acompañamiento directo desde el campo hasta la colocación exitosa de productos en los mercados extranjeros con estándares internacionales de calidad.
Precisó que, como líder de la mesa de gestión de riesgos del Comité Nacional de Facilitación y Comercio, contribuyen a la implementación de un sistema automatizado integral para mejorar el clima de negocios y el reforzamiento de la capacidad institucional a favor del comercio exterior, que es uno de los pilares del proyecto.
“Esperamos e invitamos a las instituciones públicas y privadas a que aunemos esfuerzos para que juntos desarrollamos este programa que sin duda dinamizará nuestro sector productivo y aumentará considerablemente de manera sostenible nuestras exportaciones”.
Bisonó enfatizó que desde el gobierno saludan ese tipo de herramienta que acerca más la meta común de mejorar la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos, mientras que reiteró el compromiso y el de todo el equipo del MICM en seguir impulsando acciones que contribuyan al desarrollo económico y que permitirá seguir la identidad a cada Rincón del mundo.

El proyecto TraSa es una iniciativa de implantación de un programa fruto de los trabajos del Comité Nacional de Facilitación de Comercio, que componen 18 instituciones del sector público y privado para promover y coordinar las iniciativas de comercio de logística del país.
En la firma participaron, además, del Director General de Aduanas, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón; Brian Rudert, director del proyecto TraSa; Limber Cruz López, ministro de Agricultura; Peter Prazmowki, director ejecutivo de CNC; y el vicepresidente ejecutivo de AMCHAMDR, William M. Malumud.
El proyecto TraSa tendrá una duración de cinco años y contará con un financiamiento de 13.7 millones de dólares, destinados a la aplicación de medidas, estándares y regulaciones sanitarias y fitosanitarias basadas en ciencia y análisis de riesgos.
