El director general de EDESUR, ingeniero Milton Morrison dejo inaugurado el proyecto de electrificación de las Yayitas, una comunidad con potencial para el desarrollo ecoturístico de la provincia Peravia y a la cual no había llegado de manera formal el alumbrado eléctrico. Esta comunidad es uno de los ejes que conforman el plan estratégico para el desarrollo turístico de Baní, que es impulsado por el Clúster Turístico y productivo de esta región.
A solicitud del Clúster y gestiones del diputado Julito Fulcar, los esposos Linnette Arbaje y Armando Cuello, con el director de EDESUR, ingeniero Milton Morrison, fueron solicitados para la Yayita unos 25 postes para el alumbrado eléctrico de una comunidad rural, que necesitaba energía eléctrica para poder aprovechar el potencial que tiene para las actividades ecoturísticas y de esta forma generar desarrollo para sus habitantes.
“Lo hicimos porque Edesur es una empresa de servicios y donde quiera que haya un espacio donde nosotros podamos contribuir con la mejora de la calidad de vida de los habitantes y el desarrollo de la comunidad, ahí tiene que estar Edesur. Pero Inmediatamente le comunique a la gerente Luisa Barrous, ella hizo suyo ese proyecto y con su equipo de trabajo lo ejecutó y tal como dijeron; esperaban 25 postes y le pusimos 125 y 3,450 metros de cableado”. El director de Edesur también expresó el compromiso de la institución eléctrica con el desarrollo del país y el ecoturismo, por lo que continuaran trabajando para llevar la electrificación al Manaclar otra comunidad banileja, con gran potencial para el ecoturismo. Este enclave le agrega valor al destino turístico de la región, como atractivo de turismo de montaña con características especiales, por la altura de su ubicación y la temperatura.
El diputado Julito Furcal agradeció la pronta respuesta de Edesur al problema de Las Yayitas de Baní y se comprometió a gestionar, junto con la gobernadora de la provincia Ángela Yadira Báez, la pavimentación de la carretera que conduce a los balnearios de la comunidad, para de esta forma facilitar el acceso de los visitantes, lo cual permitirá que la comunidad comience a beneficiarse del turismo.
Por su parte el Arquitecto Juan Tejeda presidente del Clúster Turístico y productivo de Bani, agradeció la iniciativa del diputado Julito Furcal y del Ing. Milton Morrison de Edesur, por cumplir un anhelo por tanto tiempo esperado por la comunidad de Las Yayitas de Baní. A su vez el arquitecto Tejeda aprovechó la ocasión para entregar al ingeniero Morrison un pergamino que lo acredita como miembro honorifico del Clúster Turístico y Productivo de Baní.
En el acto estuvieron presentes, la gobernadora Ángela Yadira Báez, la gerente de la zona Baní y Ocoa, Lic. Luisa Barrous, la directora de turismo de la región sur, Ing. Maribel Hernández, el presidente del Clúster Turístico productivo de Baní, el arquitecto Juan Tejeda, el ingeniero Willy Gonzáles, director de planeamiento urbano del ayuntamiento de Baní, por la Cámara De Comercio Peravia, Ricardo de los Santos y Sergio Zabala, por la Fundación Monte Bonito, Leonel Ortiz y Marino Ortiz, el Director Regional de Agricultura, Lic. Rafael E. Soto, el presidente de la Junta Agroempresarial Dominicana JAD Peravia, Ing. Rafael Omar Landestoy, por Universo Verde, Manuel Guerrero Ortiz, por la Fundación Abundancia de Agua, Juan De Dios Soto y los esposos Armando Cuello y Linette Arbaje, de Arbaje Tours, entre otras personalidades. La maestría de ceremonia del evento estuvo a cargo del Lic. Félix Peguero, Director de relaciones públicas del Clúster Turístico productivo de Baní.
