Esta Primera Ruta Productiva se desarrolla en La Provincia La Vega, en el marco del apoyo decidido a la producción nacional, que impulsa el presidente Luis Abinader.
El director ejecutivo de la UESP, destacó la importancia de Constanza en la producción de hortalizas y vegetales, siendo una verdadera potencia productiva en esos renglones. Durante el inicio de la Primera Ruta Productiva participaron funcionarios locales, técnicos de la UESP e instituciones vinculadas, y líderes productivos de Constanza.
Agrega que también se identificaron 3 grandes proyectos para el municipio y el sector productivo como: 1) La industrialización de parte de la producción de vegetales del municipio, tanto para el mercado local como para exportación; 2) la incorporación de los productos de la zona en el Programa Consume Lo Nuestro; y 3) una propuesta para la solución definitiva a más de 300 agricultores desalojados de Valle Nuevo.
