Santo Domingo, R.D. Junio 27, 2021.- El presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, instruyó al Gabinete de Transformación Digital para que inicie los trabajos de lugar orientados a implementar el Gobierno Digital en la República Dominicana.
De esta forma, el Gobierno reconoce la importancia de modernizar y digitalizar la Administración Pública en el país, para elevar los niveles de eficiencia y eficacia, con el propósito de impactar la calidad de los servicios que se ofrecen a la ciudadanía en el marco de la Agenda Digital 2030.
El anuncio fue hecho durante un encuentro con el Ministro Darío Castillo Lugo, titular del Ministerio de Administración Pública (MAP), en la sede de esa institución, y el viceministro de Agenda Digital del Ministerio de la Presidencia, José David Montilla.
Castillo Lugo informó que el objetivo del Gobierno Digital es incentivar la eficiencia y transparencia de la Administración Pública mediante el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, acercando cada vez más el Estado al ciudadano, mejorando su calidad de vida y fomentando, desde el sector público, el desarrollo digital de la sociedad.
“El Gobierno Digital busca proveer los servicios públicos en línea y lograr la interoperabilidad, que los sistemas informáticos de las diferentes instituciones se comuniquen entre sí, y haya mayor agilidad de los procesos y seguridad de la información, reducción del gasto y de los tiempos para los ciudadanos”, explicó el titular del MAP.
Dijo que, además, se promoverá la competitividad de las instituciones del país, por medio del desarrollo y fortalecimiento de la infraestructura digital.
De su lado, José David Montilla, viceministro de Agenda Digital, reiteró que la Agenda Digital mejorará de forma significativa la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos.
Explicó que los temas de la agenda digital se enmarcan en la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo 2030, denominada Agenda 2030; los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, el Plan de Gobierno, el Plan Nacional Plurianual, y otros.
“El Gobierno de la República Dominicana que encabeza el presidente Abinader, ha manifestado, desde el primer día, que está comprometido con la transformación y el desarrollo tecnológico de la sociedad dominicana” aseguró Montilla.
Con este propósito, el presidente emitió este año el Decreto 71-21, que crea el Gabinete de Transformación Digital, el cual preside el primer mandatario y lo coordina el Ministerio de la Presidencia, a los fines de formular la agenda digital y los programas y acciones necesarias para su implementación. De acuerdo a esta normativa, el Ministerio de Administración Pública (MAP) coordina el Comité de Gobierno Digital.
En el encuentro estuvieron presentes el viceministro de Innovación y Tecnología del MAP, Eliezer Nieves, los directores de Innovación y de Tecnologías de la Información, Hugo Martínez y José Mejía, respectivamente, y Frank González, asesor del MAP. También, el director de Agenda Digital del Ministerio de la Presidencia, Reyson Lizardo.
Asimismo, los directores de área de la Oficina Gubernamental de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (OGTIC) Armando Manzueta, Marlene Decena, Issac Vásquez, Gabriel Fernández y Gustavo Valverde.
