La compañía alemana Wellet GmbH acaba de lanzar en España y Alemania una aplicación que reemplazará completamente la TPV para poder aceptar tarjetas en un servicio que será gratuito y pronto estará disponible en Google PlayStore.
Con la ayuda de la aplicación Wellet, cualquier negocio podrá recibir pagos hechos con tarjeta MasterCard o Visa sin contacto, y también a través de otros dispositivos con ApplePay y AndroidPay en dos segundos.
El pago se realiza sin contacto entre vendedor y comprador, algo que es muy importante actualmente para garantizar las medidas sanitarias recomendadas por las autoridades.
Wellet: El principio del servicio (tecnología y seguridad)
El desarrollo de esta aplicación se basa en la tecnología Tap to Phone, que permite recibir pagos sin contacto utilizando el chip NFC integrado. Este es un nuevo desarrollo del sistema de pago internacional Visa, aprobado durante la conferencia Visa Cashless 2019.
Antes de llegar al comercio, la aplicación pasa por una certificación de seguridad de Visa.
Para realizar un pago, el usuario debe ingresar el monto de la compra activando la función de NFC (smartphone, smartwatch, etc.) y luego el cliente debe acercar la tarjeta u otro dispositivo a la parte posterior del teléfono del vendedor.
La ventaja de este sistema es que no hay necesidad de tener otros dispositivos, garantizando que el dinero se transfiere dentro de un plazo no mayor a las 24 horas.
Una vez concluido este proceso, es el propio sistema el que emite una factura que luego el vendedor puede compartir con el consumidor o imprimirla si es necesario, para lo que se requeriría una impresora conectada al smartphone.
Expertos en el campo de las tecnologías modernas coincidieron en que en los próximos años podrá reemplazar las soluciones clásicas de mPOS. Este es el siguiente paso que permite al pago sin contacto ser más rápido y cómodo para todos los participantes de la transacción.
“En todo el proceso están integradas unas medidas que resguardan y protegen los datos del vendedor y del cliente. Además, Wellet coopera con el banco que procesa las transacciones, que a su vez tiene su propio sistema de seguridad. Esto garantiza el uso completamente seguro y protegido” explican desde la propia compañía.
En este momento, Wellet se encuentra en un proceso de certificación que terminará en mayo de 2021, aunque ya es posible a través de su web rellenar el formulario para poder comenzar a usarla con una rebaja de la comisión tan pronto reciba la certificación.
Situación en el mercado y diferencias de TPV en España
Hay más de 2.5 millones de medianas y pequeñas empresas en España que ya utilizan o planean utilizar una TPV. Y no siempre es rentable: el precio de una TPV es aproximadamente 30 euros, pero esta puede averiarse y requerir reparaciones.
Trabajando con la tecnología Tap to Phone no se necesitan dispositivos adicionales, lo que significa no tener gastos añadidos. Todas las funciones básicas de la aplicación son gratuitas y basta con pagar una comisión del 1,7% de cada transacción.
Hoy en día, si el comerciante o sus empleados tienen que visitar a sus clientes con frecuencia, deben llevar una TPV para aceptar tarjetas, incluso si el comerciante usa una terminal mPOS compacta. Un proceso que no es siempre cómodo ya que el dispositivo puede quedarse sin batería o perder la conexión.
Con Wellet estos problemas no surgen. La app ya está en el teléfono y no hay necesidad de llevar algún equipo extra.
