El presidente Luis Abinader encabezó este jueves el acto de inicio de los trabajos de ampliación de la autopista a San Isidro (avenida Coronel Rafael Tomás Fernández Domínguez), obra que tendrá un costo superior a los 800 millones de pesos y que está llamada a contribuir con la solución del caótico tránsito que se registra en esa zona del municipio Santo Domingo Este.
El mandatario, junto al ministro de Obras Públicas, Deligne Ascención, dio el primer palazo para dejar iniciados los trabajos de ampliación de la vía, desde la avenida Charles de Gaulle hasta la base área de San Isidro, municipio Santo Domingo Este.
En el acto habló el ministro Deligne Ascención, quien dijo que el presidente Abinader, durante el Consejo de Ministros celebrado el pasado mes de febrero en la sede del Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este se comprometió con los munícipes a realizar el trabajo que hoy se está iniciando.
Destacó la importancia que reviste la ampliación y prolongación de la vía, y que a continuación de esta se hace imprescindible, debido al crecimiento demográfico que ha tenido el municipio, y al aumento del parque vehicular, además de que la misma generará amplios beneficios a los residentes.
“La ampliación consiste en agregar dos carriles y una acera perimetral de tres metros, para que los ciudadanos puedan caminar y ejercitarse”, explicó.
La vía cuenta en la actualidad con dos carriles, pero los trabajos iniciados incluirán otros dos, para un total de cuatro carriles, dos para cada sentido de dirección.
Con la reestructuración y ampliación de la avenida Rafael Tomás Fernández Domínguez se busca desahogar el tránsito en Santo Domingo Este y hacer menos traumático el trayecto hasta el Distrito Nacional y otros puntos. La ampliación de esta importante vía forma parte del programa de control de tránsito vehicular y descongestionamiento de las vías circundantes.
Descripción del proyecto
El proyecto contempla la construcción de dos nuevos carriles para aumentar la capacidad vial de dos a cuatro carriles por sentido de circulación, y serán intervenidos 5.13 kms de un carril adicional para girar en intersecciones.
El mismo abarca una sección de 41.70 metros, conformada por dos calzadas de 8.20 metros.
La ampliación contará con isleta central separadora de dos metros, ancho de carriles de 3.50 metros, acera dispuesta a ambos lados para peatones de 1.50 metros, contenes de 0.55 metros, jardinera de 0.45 metros, franja verde de 0.80 metros en ambos lados.
