Los equipos adquiridos forman parte de la gestión de Nelson Arroyo, presidente del Consejo Directivo del Indotel, como parte de su compromiso por lograr el fortalecimiento de las políticas de protección al usuario y de velar porque estos reciban el servicio de calidad que contrataron.
“De ahora en adelante el Indotel realizará sus propias mediciones de manera recurrente e independiente, sin incurrir de nuevo en gastos de contratación, y estaremos vigilantes para que los usuarios reciban el servicio que contrataron”, indicó Arroyo.
A través de los equipos Drive Test se evaluará el rendimiento y la calidad de los servicios de redes móviles y de voz, y se comparará con los informes trimestrales que remiten las empresas prestadoras de servicio al órgano regulador de las telecomunicaciones en República Dominicana, y así verificar si tienen la calidad exigida por las regulaciones.
Las mediciones Drive Test son utilizadas para determinar huecos de cobertura y fallos específicos de las redes.
Para lograr un trabajo óptimo, el Indotel realizó un proceso de capacitación de su personal técnico con expertos internacionales, logrando realizar con éxito las primeras mediciones.-.
