SANTO DOMINGO, R.D. Abril 2021.- Motivada por su deseo de igualdad de oportunidades, el cual aboga por la promoción de la equidad de género en todos los ámbitos de toma de decisiones y en las políticas de recuperación de la crisis, la Asociación Nacional de Jóvenes Empresarios (ANJE) sostuvo un encuentro con la alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional, Carolina Mejía en el cual se abordaron distintos temas de interés.
Esta actividad, en la que participó una comitiva de socias de ANJE, encabezada por su presidenta Susana Martínez Nadal, representó el primer evento de la nueva subcomisión de género del gremio. Martínez Nadal resaltó que “el liderazgo femenino en el mundo empresarial es cada vez más importante y su impacto será clave para la recuperación económica en la que se encamina el país. Es por eso que hemos creado esta subcomisión en ANJE, reafirmando nuestro compromiso con la igualdad de oportunidades laborales desde el empresariado”.
“El poder es la capacidad de ser para poder hacer, primero por mí y luego por los demás. Por eso entiendo que tengo el reto de lograr que más mujeres estén donde se toman decisiones. Debemos también ayudar a otras mujeres a ser, si no han encontrado el camino”, destacó la alcaldesa durante el encuentro realizado en el Palacio Consistorial de Santo Domingo.
“Cualquier crecimiento debe estar basado en valores y principios; las mujeres debemos eliminar de nuestra lógica la pena y aumentar la fe. Defendamos lo que somos, cuidemos nuestra esencia y ojalá de aquí salgan muchas con el deseo de hacer servicio público. ANJE es un ejemplo histórico de empoderamiento de la mujer empresaria”, agregó Carolina Mejía en el marco de este evento que celebra el empoderamiento de la mujer en la sociedad dominicana.
Este primer encuentro fue la oportunidad para un grupo de mujeres destacadas del sector empresarial, socias de ANJE, para compartir con la alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional sobre las experiencias que han marcado su camino como jóvenes líderes.
