El Centro Cultural Banreservas ofrecerá este viernes un recital poético y musical a partir de las siete de la noche a cargo de la periodista y poeta Argénida Romero y el creador musical Waldo Rincón.
El gerente de Cultura de Banreservas, Mijail Peralta, indicó que con la presentación se persigue estimular la vocación del público por la expresión poética, en las obras de la poeta y narradora Romero, que involucrará la actuación de Rincón, arreglista e intérprete de diversos instrumentos.
La actividad será desarrollada cumpliendo con los protocolos de distanciamiento recomendados, procurando que la poesía y la música tengan una entrega de calidad para el público concurrente. El Centro Cultural Banreservas se encuentra ubicado en la calle Isabel La Católica # 202, de la Ciudad Colonial.
Argénida Romero, nació en Caracas, Venezuela en 1980, y reside en el país desde 1990. En 2009 fue finalista del Premio de Poesía de la editora española Puente de Letras y en abril de ese mismo año presentó su primer libro de poemas, Mudanzas.
Poemas suyos fueron incluidos en las antologías A la garata con puño: muestra de la poesía dominicana actual (UNAM, México 2012) y No creo que esté aquí de más. Antología de Poetas Dominicanas 1932-1980 (Huerga Fierro editores, España 2018).
Romero fue la ganadora del Premio Poesía Joven de la Feria Internacional del Libro en 2013, con el poemario Arraiga (Editora Nacional, 2014, primera edición, republicado por Editorial Cielonaranja, segunda edición).
Es reportera y editora en el periódico Diario Libre. También ganó el Premio Joven de Periodismo, renglón Literatura y Libros de la Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo 2016.
Además, fue ganadora del Primer Concurso de Periodistas “Libertad de Expresión e Información”. Periodismo impreso del Tribunal Constitucional, 2019.
