Santo Domingo.- Con la firma de un convenio de colaboración, el Centro de Exportación e Inversión de República Dominicana (ProDominicana) y la Dirección General de Alianzas Público Privadas (DGAPP), se proponen aunar esfuerzos para promocionar de manera conjunta los proyectos de infraestructura, servicios o de utilidad pública que se estructuran bajo la modalidad de alianza público-privada (APP).
En el acuerdo, rubricado por la directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla y director ejecutivo de la DGAPP, Sigmund Freund, ambas instituciones se comprometen a mantener actualizado el portafolio de proyectos de inversión de ProDominicana.
A su vez, acordaron sostener una colaboración mutua, continua y actualizada, con la finalidad de lograr un mayor alcance en la promoción de proyectos de alianzas público-privadas en los distintos sectores priorizados que fomenten el desarrollo económico nacional.
Riveiro indicó que ambas instituciones decidieron realizar una alianza para llevar a cabo proyectos de cooperación interinstitucional con el objetivo de establecer un plan de trabajo que enuncie las diferentes visiones de los sectores económicos del país procurando potenciar las alianzas públicos privadas, como lo establece la Ley 1-12 sobre la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo 2030 y Ley 47-20 de Alianzas Público Privadas.
El director de la DGAPP, Sigmund Freund, calificó este acuerdo como “extremadamente importante”, ya que el mismo permitirá un mayor impulso de la inversión privada en proyectos fundamentales para la recuperación post Covid y la sostenibilidad de la economía a mediano y largo plazo.
Freund expuso que las alianzas público-privadas se han convertido en la herramienta idónea para contrarrestar el rezago que se registra en el nivel de inversión en obras de infraestructura y servicios que requiere el país para generar un desarrollo económico equilibrado que impacte a todo el territorio nacional.
Asimismo, las instituciones asumen el compromiso de impulsar y promover los proyectos estructurados, basados en principios de eficiencia, transparencia, libre competencia y con estándares que brinden protección a la inversión privada, nacional o internacional y que contribuyan progresivamente a posicionar al país como un destino cada vez más atractivo para la inversión de capitales.
El convenio destaca el compromiso de incluir los proyectos APP en los catálogos de inversión que se promueven en los mercados internacionales, de coordinar encuentros empresariales, seminarios de inversión y eventos sectoriales.
