Pedernales, R.D. Julio 2021.- La provincia turística de Pedernales ha sido la que más rápido creció en la vacunación en los últimos días, al pasar de un 60.8% al 70.4% de población vacunada en primera dosis, durante el periodo del 27 de junio al 12 de julio, pasando del puesto 11 al puesto número 3. en cuanto a vacunación en primera dosis de todas las provincias del país, gracias al operativo VacunateRD instruido por el Presidente Luis Abinader.
El operativo Vacúnate Pedernales fue instalado el pasado martes 29 de junio, y consistió en una serie de actividades de motivación que incluyó ampliación de los centros de vacunación, asambleas municipales y provinciales, caravanas de motivación, perifoneo, recorrido de fortalecimiento y supervisión de centros, visita de personalidades y altos funcionarios a los centros de vacunación y lo más importante vacunación casa por casa para llegar a los más renuentes a la vacunación.
También incluyó arriesgadas misiones a las elevadas montañas ubicadas en la Sierra del Bahoruco, donde se ubican las colonias Agrícolas que componen el Distrito José Francisco Peña Gómez, pero también incursiones marítimas a las comunidades de pescadores que residen en la Isla Beata y en las inaccesibles Playas de Trudillé y Lanzasó, las cuales no tienen acceso terrestre, demostrando el gran interés que tiene el Gobierno Dominicano en la vacunación de todos sus ciudadanos.
El coordinador operativo de VacunateRD en la Provincia de Pedernales, Lic. Hecmilio Galván, agradeció el apoyo recibido por las diferentes instituciones públicas y privadas que han participado en el operativo, al tiempo que es una demostración de la importancia que el Gobierno Dominicano le ha dado a la Provincia de Pedernales y a toda la Región Sur.
En el acto de lanzamiento del operativo participaron los señores Peter Pratmosky, del CNC y Rafael Velazco, Superintendente de Electricidad, así como también la Gobernadora Provincial Miriam Brea, la Dirigencia Política y social de la provincia, los cuerpos militares, el personal de Salud, Abraham Gil, Director Financiero de la Dirección de Ganadería y el personal del CONALECHE.
Este operativo ha estado coordinado por el Ministerio de Salud, Ministerio Administrativo de la Presidencia- MAPRE, La Unidad de Evaluación y Seguimiento de los Proyectos – UESP, el Consejo Nacional de la Competitividad, la Superintendencia de Electricidad, el Consejo Nacional de la Reglamentación de la Industria Lechera, CONALECHE, la Confederación Nacional de Productores Agropecuarios – CONFENAGRO ,la Dirección General de Ganadería – DIGEGA, , Instituto de Desarrollo del Suroeste INDESUR, Coordinadora Nacional de Productores de Cacao CONACADO, y Comedores Económicos.
A nivel local han estado participando iembros de la Gobernación de Pedernales, el Prodevaj del IAD, la Dirección Provincial de Salud, el Clúster Turístico de Pedernales, los Diputados Edirda de Oleo y Héctor Feliz, la Defensa Civil, el Ayuntamiento Municipal, el Indrhi, Conani, el Hospital Elio Fiallo, la Dirección de Fronteras, la Dirección Provincial de Turismo, la dirección provincial de Cultura, la Policía Nacional, la Armada Dominicana y el Ejército Nacional
Por la parte social han estado encabezando la jornada la dirección del PRM encabezada por Confesor, Augusto Velazquez, Feliz Volquez, Yanyan, Medina, también las federaciones de productores agropecuarios, el Patronato Pro desarrollo de Pedernales, las Federación de Centros de Madres y las iglesias representadas por el Párroco José Volquez y el Pastor Domingo José,
El plan nacional de vacunación será permanente en la provincia de Pedernales, con el objetivo de alcanzar el 70% en dos dosis, pero ya Pedernales lleva la delantera, dado que para lograr este resultado en segundas dosis es imprescindible lograrlo en primera dosis.
