Santo Domingo, RD.- El Centro de Radioterapia Integral (RADONIC), realizó un acto de reconocimiento a los médicos urólogos que participaron en la 1ra Jornada de Prevención y Detección del Cáncer de Próstata que organizó junto a la Sociedad Dominicana de Urología.
En ésta cena de confraternidad entre directivos y medios de RADONIC, la cual se llevo a cabo en el restaurante Sherezade, fueron entregados diplomas de reconocimiento a cada unos de los galenos participantes en la jornada, quienes aportaron sus conocimientos y tiempo de manera gratuita para contribuir con dicha labor.
Los directivos del centro se comprometieron a continuar realizando estas actividades en beneficio de la población a fin de disminuir el índice de muertes por cáncer estimulando la prevención y detección a tiempo de las mismas.
La jornada se llevó a cabo durante tres días con más de 230 pacientes en consulta, de la cual alrededor de un 8% de los consultados fueron detectados como sospechosos de lesión maligna y fueron referidos para realizarse los estudios correspondientes.
