Santo Domingo, R.D. Marzo 2, 2021.- Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas forma parte del programa global “Best Managed Companies”, cuyo objetivo es reconocer la excelencia operativa de las empresas privadas a lo largo del mundo. Best Managed Companies fue creado hace 25 años por Deloitte y actualmente tiene presencia en 35 países.

“Las mejores empresas son aquellas que no solo contribuyen con la generación de ingresos y de empleos, sino que crean comunidad para hacer las cosas mejor y seguir mejorando”, expresó Pilar Ruiz de Chávez, directora de Mejores Empresas de Latinoamérica.

La versión del programa para la región centroamericana incluirá a 7 países (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá y República Dominicana) teniendo como patrocinadores a Deloitte, Grupo Promerica y el INCAE Business School, los cuales tendrán una participación activa dentro del programa, no solo como patrocinadores sino también en la asesoría que obtendrán las empresas que participen, en donde un grupo multidisciplinario de expertos de las tres entidades, serán los encargados de brindar orientación,  identificar las principales fortalezas y áreas de oportunidad de cada empresa, acompañado de la metodología del programa, la cual es el resultado de más de veinte años de experiencia del programa a nivel mundial, siendo un modelo de trabajo que demuestra cómo una empresa genera “valor” y qué acciones deben tomar para mejorar sus resultados a través de cinco impulsores:  crecimiento en ventas, margen operativo, administración de activos, fortalezas y factores externos y talento y sustentabilidad.

Carla Coghi, socia directora para Centroamérica Deloitte dijo que las “Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas representa el empeño, la dedicación y el esfuerzo de las medianas empresas de Centroamérica y República Dominicana, es un programa creado por Deloitte que busca potenciar los estándares y el crecimiento de la comunidad empresarial de la región”.

Todas las empresas que concluyen el proceso, sin importar el resultado, reciben sin costo y de forma absolutamente confidencial, un reporte de retroalimentación en el que se identifican sus principales fortalezas, tanto de operación, competitividad, mercadeo y viabilidad financiera, así como una lista de recomendaciones para atender áreas de oportunidad y mejorar su desempeño. Además, reciben un diagnóstico real de la forma en que opera el mercado medio de empresas en la región.

Las empresas participantes destacadas serán reconocidas como una Mejor Empresa Centroamericana y se promoverá dentro de los casos de éxito del programa, lo cual brindará reconocimiento y posicionamiento en la región.

De su parte Ramiro Ortiz Gurdian, director ejecutivo de Grupo Promerica, explicó que “En marco del 30 aniversario de Grupo Promerica nos unimos en patrocinio para ser parte del Programa Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas porque creemos en una banca de relaciones que apoya a las empresas en innovarse y la continua transformación. Este programa brindará la oportunidad a las medianas empresas privadas de Centroamérica y República Dominicana para que obtengan una asesoría estratégica que les permitirá mejorar su desempeño operativo, buscar mejores prácticas y así tener éxito ante los retos de la nueva realidad que vivimos en nuestras economías”.

Adicional, las empresas reconocidas tendrán acceso a conocimiento especializado, asesoría de negocios, relaciones y alianzas, entre otros, que permitan impulsar su productividad, rentabilidad y proyección a nivel local e internacional.  

Bernard Kilian, decano asociado INCAE Business School, manifestó que “INCAE Business School congruente con su misión de promover el desarrollo integral de los países en los que sirve, se une a este importante programa de reconocimiento de las Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas, que permitirá no solo identificar a las empresas líderes en desempeño y mejores prácticas en la región, si no también que las empresas participantes identifiquen eficiencias y oportunidades de crecimiento ante los retos que supone la transformación digital y la nueva realidad en los negocios” .

Las empresas interesadas en participar deben cumplir con los siguientes criterios de elegibilidad: Ser una empresa privada, mayoritariamente con capital de la región (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá o República Dominicana), tener ventas entre US$1 a US$12 millones de dólares, una operación mínima de 5 años, presentar estados financieros auditados de los últimos 3 años y disposición para compartir información de su estrategia y resultados.
