BonusFinder, el primer agregador mundial de ofertas y bonos de casinos y casas de apuestas online, ha llevado a cabo un estudio sobre las búsquedas de casinos y casas de apuestas online en Suecia, tras el primer año operando bajo una nueva legislación mucho más restrictiva. Dicho estudio reveló que las búsquedas de casinos ilegales o sin licencia aumentaron un 710% con respecto al volumen anterior a la puesta en marcha de la nueva ley. “La nueva regulación impuesta en Suecia ha estimulado el mercado negro del juego online, desprotegiendo así a los jugadores de este país y también a la industria”, afirma Fintan Costello, Director General de Bonusfinder.com.
En concreto, algunas de las nuevas restricciones de la nueva ley sueca tienen que ver con limitar el tiempo que los jugadores pueden pasar en su casino online. También pone límites máximos a los depósitos semanales (aproximadamente 458 euros por jugador) y establece topes máximos a las ofertas de bonificación online, las cuales no pueden superar los 8 euros.
Tal como lo advirtió BonusFinder antes de la promulgación de la ley, estas medidas han hecho florecer un creciente mercado negro de casinos y casas de apuestas sin licencia para operar en Suecia, los cuales desde otros países permiten que jugadores suecos puedan operar en sus webs.
El estudio de BonusFinder identificó más de 54 sitios enfocados en Suecia que carecen de licencia, versus los 65 que operan legalmente en este país. La investigación llevada a cabo por BonusFinder fue realizada haciendo uso de la herramienta Google Trends, la cual permitió constatar que las búsquedas de ‘casino utan licens’ (casinos sin licencia) han aumentado un 710% en el último año. Además, dicha herramienta también demuestra cómo las búsquedas específicas de marcas de casinos sin licencia enfocadas en Suecia han aumentado un 305% en los últimos doce meses. Por el contrario, las consultas genéricas por ‘casinos online’, solo crecieron un 173% en el último año.
“Nuestra investigación ha hecho posible constatar que casi un tercio de los jugadores suecos están buscando ahora casinos sin licencia como consecuencia de las nuevas regulaciones”, afirma Fintan Costello.
España, a tiempo de no cometer el mismo error que Suecia
En noviembre pasado el Consejo de Ministros aprobó un real decreto que prohíbe la publicidad de casas de apuestas online, salvo entre la franja horaria de 1 am y 5 am. Esta nueva normativa ya se encuentra en vigor para nuevos contratos y comenzará a ser efectiva el próximo 30 de agosto para contratos firmados con anterioridad a la promulgación del decreto.
Dicha ley también prohíbe el uso de redes sociales por parte de las casas de apuestas. A su vez, los equipos de fútbol u otros deportes no podrán llevar publicidad de casas de apuestas o casinos online, ni se podrán utilizar personajes famosos para promover el juego online. A su vez, quedan prohibidos todos los bonos o promociones de bienvenida, los cuales solo podrán ofrecerse a clientes que hayan abierto su cuenta hace un mes, sus documentos hayan sido verificados y previamente hayan hecho al menos tres depósitos. Además, estos bonos quedarán limitados a un máximo de 100 euros.
“Entendemos que el gobierno español actúa de buena fe para proteger a sus ciudadanos, pero lo cierto es que estas medidas han provocado que en países como Suecia estimulen el mercado negro y desvíen a los jugadores hacia webs sin licencia de otros países, en los cuales estos jugadores quedan completamente desprotegidos ante estafas o límites en el caso de que sufran adicción al juego”, afirma Fintan Costello.
Lo cierto es que muchos jugadores utilizan diferentes sistemas para saltarse las regulaciones, como la utilización de VPN’s (Virtual Private Network o Red Privada Virtual), con las cuales los jugadores pueden acceder y operar en estas webs.
Hoy en día existen más de 200 casinos online que aceptan a jugadores españoles, pero no cuentan con una licencia emitida por la Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego de España.
