Se realizó el lanzamiento del Programa Fomento y Desarrollo de la Productividad de los Sistemas de Producción de Leche Bovina de la Región Este (Programa 19).
El programa consiste en brindar servicio técnico de expertos en ganadería a los productores de ganado bovino de leche de la zona Este del país, con el objetivo de aumentar la eficiencia de sus sistemas de producción y mejorar genética del ganado.
El Programa 19 significa un gran esfuerzo para fortalecer los sistemas de producción nacional, además de impulsar la industria lechera a nivel nacional.
El Dr. Geovanny Molina destacó que los planes para mejorar la productividad y la competitividad repercuten directamente el crecimiento del mercado interno, en la creación de oportunidades de empleo y en la mejora de la calidad de vida de los productores y trabajadores del campo.
“Este programa está vinculado a los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible y a la estrategia nacional de desarrollo”
El acto fue encabezado por el ministro de Agricultura, Limber Cruz, junto al director general de Ganadería, Geovanny Molina, además, el asesor agropecuario del Poder Ejecutivo, Eric Rivero, el administrador del Banco Agrícola, Fernando Duran, el director de Fomento Pecuario, Alejandrito Batista y el director ejecutivo de CONALECHE, Miguel Laureano, entre otros funcionarios y personalidades de la región.
Para su lanzamiento y logística el proyecto cuenta con fondos aportados por la Dirección General de Presupuesto.
