La Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana (AIRD) consideró positivo el balance de los primeros cinco meses de Gobierno y valoró como atinado el llamado del presidente Luis Abinader a la esperanza en la recuperación económica del país.
“La recuperación no puede esperar el fin de la pandemia. La recuperación no puede obviar las necesidades de seguridad y salud de la población. Se requiere avanzar en medio de medidas sanitarias estrictas, se requiere sembrar bases para un mayor impulso una vez pase la pandemia. Creemos que muchas de las medidas tomadas por el Gobierno van en la dirección correcta y que República Dominicana se está preparando para recuperar rápidamente el ritmo de crecimiento previo a la pandemia y retornar a reducir drásticamente los niveles de pobreza de una buena parte de la población”, expresó Celso Juan Marranzini al hablar de la gestión del presidente Abinader en sus primeros meses.
El Presidente de la AIRD expresó que la institución mantiene su confianza, especialmente porque en los temas sensitivos se trabaja en conjunto, de cara a superar obstáculos, dificultades, para agilizar la recuperación y retomar el crecimiento económico.
Marranzini vio como positiva la vacunación a iniciarse en las próximas semanas, esperando que en los próximos días se anuncien los detalles del Plan de Vacunación Nacional y llamó a la población a no temer a vacunarse. “La vacuna es una prueba más de que el mundo hoy marcha más rápido que nunca. Así también necesitamos marchar, con agilidad, con flexibilidad, en la vida económica y social de la nación”, indicó.
Explicó que la dinámica en el sector industrial apunta a una recuperación tanto de los niveles de producción y exportación como de empleo. “Algunos hablan de antes y después de la pandemia como si el mundo se hubiese detenido, en realidad tenemos que estar alertas y establecer con claridad metas y medidas que permitan que durante la pandemia la economía se fortalezca, las posibilidades de bienestar se incrementen y el empleo formal crezca”, expresó el presidente de la AIRD.
Valoró como positivo el apoyo al sector turístico, el proceso para establecer una estrategia de industrialización del país, la recuperación del sector agrícola y el empuje en el sector de la construcción.
También vio positivo el reconocimiento por parte del Presidente de que varias áreas están en condiciones difíciles y no han sido del todo reactivadas y que anunciará, en los próximos días, planes para su recuperación económica, siempre teniendo en cuenta los protocolos de salud.
