Así lo informó el ministro administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ramón Peralta, al encabezar un acto donde la Alcaldía de este municipio y el Colegio Dominicano de Ingenieros, Arquitectos y Agrimensores (Codia) le hicieron un reconocimiento por su solidaridad y respaldo a la provincia.
Peralta reveló que el Gobierno construirá en San Juan 664 apartamentos de tres y dos habitaciones para los damnificados de Mesopotamia, un parque, una avenida, que transformará la cañada Tenguerengue mediante su saneamiento, y se rehabilitarán los canales de riego José Joaquín Puello y el de La Charca-Chalona. Además, se construirán reservorios, a fin de mitigar la sequía que ha afectado la agropecuaria de la zona desde hace más de ocho meses.
Recordó que actualmente se construyen decenas de escuelas en la zona, una sucursal del Banco de Reservas y la Circunvalación Sur.
Informó que en los próximos días adquirirán cinco máquinas niveladoras de terreno con el propósito de alcanzar mayor eficiencia en el sistema de regadío.
